National BBQ Rankings Update
Season well under way
National BBQ Rankings has hit the ground running in 2009 as have the cooks down in Florida. KCBS and FBA have both sanctioned contests in Florida this year and teams from around the country have gotten calls this season. Congrats to everyone who has walked so far this year. 2008 MBN results added
MBN results have been added to the rankings for the 2008 season and will continue to be counted towards the National BBQ Rankings in 2009. Combining KCBS, FBA, and MBN contests covers the largest sanctioning bodies and allows greater access to teams teams from around the country. This allows National BBQ Rankings to compare teams from around the country who may compete in one or all of the different sanctioned contests.
Team Login
You may have noticed the login / sign up link in the upper right hand corner of the web site. That allows you to create a profile on the NationalBBQRankings.com web site. When you are creating your profile there is the option to link that profile to a team in the rankings. Linking your profile to a team in the rankings allows you to control how your team's name appears in the rankings. Just update your profile page and it is changed in the rankings right away. There is an approval process for linking profiles to teams so you won't be able to do it right away, but once approved you can change the team name and even allow other people to join your team or kick people off your team. Also information from your profile will be displayed on the team page in the rankings portion of the web site. You can list a web site, what type of cooker you use, and even a little bio about your and your team. This section will be expanding over the rest of the season so keep checking on it for updates.

National BBQ Rankings Update
Happy Holidays to everyone. You might have noticed that we are making some changes to the web site. Hopefully everyone will enjoy the changes.
I would like to congratulate HomeBBQ.com for winning the first Triple Crown Championship. Jus-Fer-Fun also deserves a round of applause for their Reserve Grand finish. Swamp Boys was able to maintain the top spot in the overall and several people made huge leaps in the rankings based on their Triple Crown performance.
We are going to continue to improve this web site over the coming months and look forward to the 2009 season. Happy Holidays everyone.
